For 8 months, I worked alongside the Director of Media at ‘OneSky for all children’ to create a variety of educational videos for caregivers serving at-risk infants across Asia. By using rotoscoped footage, warm and realistic scenes of early childhood were highlighted through animation.
Thoughtful treatment of these scenes were paramount to the mission of the videos. The animation sequences were tailored to emphasize responsible care in situations of play and distress.

Activities allow children to stay engaged physically AND mentally. The clips featured here are a mix of both. A healthy diversification of these every day activities is imperative to a child’s growth. Examples include everything from running around outside, to solving simple puzzles, to engaging with arts and crafts.
Practical care involves essential tasks throughout the day. These scenes highlight various scenarios of practical care, such as helping the infant eat their meals, gently putting them in their crib for nap time, lifting them by supporting their neck, bathing them, and assisting them to put on their clothing.
Emotional care is one of the most important parts of caretaking. Detecting an infant’s emotional needs and responding in a quick and attentive manner is key to their overall well-being. This may include handling meltdowns or noticing when a child is looking distant. These scenes also feature examples of comforting physical touch, and communicating through gesture.
Interactivity helps advance the infant’s development in various ways. Enrichment through interactivity can be achieved by introduction to different environments, brain teaser toys, reading books and interacting with other children.
