Greetings! My name is Lisa Maeda, and I’m a 2D designer and professional freelance project wrangler.
Growing up, I was shaped by both Western and Eastern types of storytelling due to my Japanese-American upbringing. Today, I’m hoping to bridge these two influences to create nuanced art. I am also deeply passionate about creating wholesome, emotionally-rich children’s media. My primary inspirations are Gyo Fujikawa and Rosemary Wells.
I graduated Bachelor’s of Fine Art in 2D Animation at SCAD Atlanta, I can confidently assist on everything from freelance work to studio productions.
When I’m not drawing, I’m out collecting unique washi tapes, scrapbooking in my absolutely ginormous Hobonichi-brand planner, and playing indie games!
